the next season

Now that all the appropriate parties have been informed, it can be told. Friday is my last day at Word Music and I'll soon be starting a new job at LifeWay. My job there will be "Manager of Sales and Marketing" for LifeWay Worship Music Group. As with any transition in life, there have been challenges and concerns, both personal and professional, but I'm anxious to get past the change and hit the ground running. I'm excited about what the future holds and what this means for my family's future, my future, and the team of top-notch employees I'll be supervising, reporting to, and working with there.

At the same time, it has been a great blessing to reflect on the time I've worked at Word and the incredible individuals that I've been able to share the journey with, both inside and outside of the company. It wasn't by accident that I wanted one of my last "official" acts at Word to be something that emphasized the family that is there (throwing a baby shower for one of my co-workers.) Word Music combines great people with great music to be a great organization, and I'll miss the people who for the past nine years have helped knit together the fabric that made up this season of my life.
