atlanta weekend

We went to visit Allison and Dave last weekend (3/24-26) since we hadn't seen them since Thanksgiving. It was great to see them all settled into married life. We went to the Flying Biscuit for breakfast Saturday morning, which is an organic spin on a traditional southern breakfast. We were downtown and couldn't resist the temptation to visit Ikea, and this time everything we got fit in the car.

We headed towards Marietta and stopped at a little hole-in-the-wall place called The Square Bagel - lots of homemade bagels, all round. They were out of chocolate chip. :-(

Marietta has a great little town square with some little shops and restaurants. It would have been great to stroll the square, but it was FREEZING! Allison, Dave, and Patrick indulged my love of Gone with the Wind, and we went to the museum there which had an amazing collection of memorabilia related to the book and the movie, including a display of autographs from 61 members of the cast and crew of the film.

Allison and Dave fixed us a great (and healthy!) dinner Saturday night. We went to church with them the next morning, and make it back to Nashville in time for our responsibilities at our church.
