welcome to the Buckstar show

I have no idea why I and others are so fascinated by Last Comic Standing. Part of it is the whole underdog idea... kind of like American Inventor - people who would otherwise have no or little business on television end up with a national audience. Some of it is just wanting something (someone?) new to laugh at.

I'm only through the first two audition cities (who has two hours straight to devote to watching something like this!?), but I've already found a few that I thought should have gone on that didn't. Maybe Kaitlin's material just wasn't that good outside of what they showed on TV, but I sure liked what she did. Not at all impressed with Theo.

Although Kaitlin won't be eligible, the good news is that in a couple of weeks, if I disagree with the judges, I might be able to give someone a second chance. Update: Katherine pointed out that I can vote for Katlin!

I guess the world of stand-up comedy is kind of like the world of homeless people... no one really knows what it's like unless you're in it (and sometimes, they overlap.

Why isn't Kaitlin eligible? What did I miss?

Comics who were rejected and did not make it into the house on the TV show will compete online for a separate title.

Viewer votes will select six of those 30 comics...

Only the ones that made the initial selection process (bottom 30 of the top 40) will be in the hopper to vote for.
