Tonight was the first (probably annual) "FBN on Wheels" night at our church. Everyone was invited to bring a bike or other wheeled conveyance and ride around the church grounds. There was a Metro policeman who showed the older kids how to be safe on their bikes with a great obstacle course, there was a bike repair service run by the husband of a popular Nashville blogger and the whole event culminated with a ride down Broadway (escorted by our great Metro police neighbors.)

Great pix! And look at all the helmets!!!!
How did the church get away with the kids on Broadway? Did they contact somebody at the city or did they do it and ask questions later?
Thanks for pictures, Patrick, from long-distance grandparents.
Well, taking the children down Broadway without the police wouldn't be very safe, would it? Officer Ryan(the bicycle officer)offered to have one of his patrol car friends to block Broadway for us. It was a big surprise to get to do that, and I think it was really special for the kids.
