wet win

We made a quick trip to Knoxville this past weekend for homecoming. I have never experienced so much rain in such a short period of time. The usual crowd of several thousand that gathers at the base of The Hill to watch the band march to the stadium was down to a couple hundred hearty souls. I told Patrick I felt even more obilgated to support the band since it was so dismal.

The beginning of the game was delayed 55 minutes due to lightening. We were told to move from our seats to the concourse, and so we go some exercise by walking around the entire upper deck of Neyland. They wanted to get the game in before the next storm cell came, so they didn't run through the "T" (first time since 1967), and the band didn't march at halftime. It was wet, but fun and definitely memorable!
