We had a great busy weekend last weekend. Patrick had a dinner meeting with a potential employee Friday night in Chattanooga, and so I decided to tag along. We spent the night at the Chattanooga Choo-Choo. It was pretty nice - I'm sure Patrick will do a TripAdvisor review.
We went to a flea market on Saturday morning and found a few bargains. After that, we strolled around Hamilton Place Mall. Allison and Dave drove up from Atlanta and met us for lunch at our favorite Chattanooga restaurant, Souper!Salad!.
When we got back home, we went straight to our Sunday School department picnic at Edwin Warner Park. The weather was just gorgeous, and several kids took the opportunity to prove they were Baptists in the creek.
On Sunday, we taught Sunday School and went to Otter's for lunch. I watched our "Nashville nieces," Alysa and Sara while Philip, Susan, and Patrick helped lead the youth activities. Afterwards, we took the girls down to the Luis Palau CityFest where we attended the kids' event which starred Bob and Larry from VeggieTales. The girls wore the Liberty knit shirts I made for them, and I have to say they looked adorable - even if I didn't make the shirts and love them dearly. Click here for pictures!
