exceeding expectations

Two families from church with whom we are very good friends brought us a great meal on Valentine's Day. The best part, though, was watching the kids (five between the two families) meet Adam for the first time. Four-year-old Lara has been eagerly anticipating Adam's arrival since we announced our good news in August.

When she held Adam for the first time, she said, "He's better than I thought he would be."
