ouch!

Yesterday was a very rainy day. I couldn't understand why Mama was putting me in the car when it was so wet outside. She took me to the doctor's office, but I didn't understand that either because I didn't feel sick. I heard Mama talking to the lady there about something called "shots."

Dr. B came and got us out of the waiting room. I like her a lot. Dr. B left the room and came back with a tray, but I couldn't see what was in it. Then, Mama took my legs out of my pajamas and held both my hands. I was looking at Mama when I felt a BIG OUCH in my leg! Dr. B stuck a pokey thing in my leg, and I cried because it scared me. Then she stuck two more pokey things in my other leg. I didn't like that at all. Mama said we were all done.

A little drop of blood got on my new Mickey Mouse pajamas, but Mama said it was okay. Dr. B put Bugs Bunny band-aids on my legs, and I stopped crying. Dr. B said I didn't cry very long at all. Mama said I was brave, but I already knew that.

It was still wet outside, but we went to Target anyway. I tried to take a nap, but my legs hurt. Mama got me a pair of Mickey Mouse socks for me and a Starbucks for her. We both felt better.
