We loaded up the van and headed north for a trip to see family over the weekend. We stopped in Elizabethtown and had dinner with the Browns (Lydia's aunt, uncle, & cousins). Adam had fun getting to know his cousins. We went on to Louisville and spent the night there Thursday night.
On Friday morning, we continued on and stopped at the Ikea north of Cincinnati. We got a few little things, including an igloo tent for Adam. He seems to like it a lot. From there we headed to Pop and Polly's house near Dayton. Adam had fun crawling everywhere on the new carpet. Adam took a little nap there and then we met Aunt Jean and Uncle Dennis for dinner.
On Saturday morning, we went to the Boonshoft Museum of Discovery and were surprised to find that there were things for Adam to do. It wasn't very crowded, and so we let him crawl around and explore. We had lunch and headed back to Pop and Polly's house. Adam and Lydia both had naps before we met Uncle Don for dinner.
We got all packed up on Sunday morning and met Pop and Polly at church for the 11:00 service. Adam made fast friends in the nursery at FBC Kettering. We went to the base for lunch which included the Easter bunny and clowns! Adam's favorite part was probably the piano player, though. After lunch, we went back to Pop and Polly's to change clothes before heading home. We had reservations to stay the night in Louisville, but decided to forge ahead and made it back to Nashville around 8:00 pm. Patrick stayed home on Monday and gave Lydia a chance to recover!
